Turn Off the Locator Bar

Turn Off the Locator Bar

Hide the player locator bar HUD element. Run: /gamerule locator_bar false. Disables the locator bar — the HUD element added in Java 1.21.6 (Spring to Life drop) that shows nearby player positions. Run /gamerule locator_bar true to re-enable it. Useful on PvP servers where stealth matters, or simply to declutter the HUD. Works on Java Edition 26.2. Last verified June 2026.
