fall_damage

Controls whether players and mobs take damage from falling. When false, no fall damage is dealt regardless of how far you fall.

Enable fall_damage

Fall damage applies normally — 0.5 hearts per block fallen above 3 blocks.

Bedrock/gamerule falldamage true

Bedrock uses falldamage (all-lowercase, no separators).

Disable fall_damage

No fall damage from any height. Players and mobs land safely regardless of fall distance.

Default: true. Restore with /gamerule fall_damage true
